September heralds the start of Autumn so I'm looking forward to reintroducing darker shades of make-up: plum and berry lips in mattes or stains, emerald green and rich warm browns for the eyes. I'm loving the low ponytail trend and am definitely going to invest in some ribbons, and even scrunchies (Yes! They are back!) to accessorise a loose ponytail at the nape of my neck.
Laura Mercier Velour Matte Extreme - Favourite matte lipstick formulation
Lancome Matte Shaker - Another great formulation and i love this shade for Autumn

September means beetroot! One of my favourite veggies, i love these jewel-like roots roasted up in balsamic and tossed through grain salads, topping lentil stews or served with goats cheese rounds. Can't wait to try THIS recipe and I will be adding my own beetroot recipe to the journal soon!
I am obsessed with the amazing 2LG kitchen renovation - think blush pink tiles, curved cabinetry and fluted glass. They are currently updating every day on their instagram stories - i cant wait to see it all come together! @2lgstudio
I'm halfway through my pregnancy and starting to think about birth options. These two books, both by friends of mine, are currently on my nightstand. Hollie's book is walking me through how I can feel calm and in control in any birth situation, and Clemmie's journal is helping me keep a record of each precious memory along my final pregnancy journey.

Next job on our own house renovation list is to decorate our hallway. We have known for some time that we wanted to use a plaster pink colour, but it has proved much harder too select than i anticipated! I think we are finally ready to order paint now, after living with dozens of swatches on the wall, so i would like to get cracking on this asap! We have chosen Desert Rose by Paint and Paper Library.
I love seasonal transition outfits! Beanies with sunglasses, coats with bare ankles... I pretty much refuse to start wearing socks until it's snowing! There are some amazing new coats out there already this season, but as I will be heavily pregnant through the winter months this year, I am thinking of using my existing coats, open at the front with a big scarf worn long down my front to keep the gap warm! So my September purchase, in lieu of a new coat, will be THIS Acne scarf.
